Since i’m in the throes of planning my great house redecoration, this is the first in what I would imagine will become a great long series of ‘I want’ posts.
Cambridge based Lou Peajeux is a one-woman creative machine with a fantastic imagination – my kitchen is crying out for her hand decorated ceramics, and (I would imagine) my friends are crying out for her gorgeous little notelets to drop through their letterboxes! There are lots more items of beauty in her Folksy Shop – take a look.

PS, There’s a giveaway on the Lou Peajeux blog to win the cards pictured above – get your entry in!
The majority of my books currently reside under my bed. I’m ashamed to say that they’ve been there for almost 3 years, and are still in the same boxes I moved them in. The time for liberation has come, and I need to finally get around to choosing, purchasing, and putting up some natty shelving (oh yes, i’m quite a whizz with the power tools!) The problem really comes with the ‘choosing’ stage. I happen to live in a (very lovely) very old building, with a lot of exposed beams and slanty, low ceilings. But where do I put the shelves..? I stumbled upon a site this afternoon called Bookshelf Porn – yes, indeed, you did read that correctly. Well. Inspired is not the word. I think i’ll shelve the entire house, and devote my life to filling every wall.
